CHANGES FOR WEDDING CAKE ORDERS
A few updates for new and existing couples about the wedding cake booking process relating to Covid-19.
{new couples}
Once you have your wedding date booked and I have checked that I am available, we can then have a chat about all things wedding and discuss any design ideas you have. I can then provide you with a quote for these initial ideas.
If you would like a more in depth conversation and to discuss your wedding cake design in more detail, we can arrange a Telephone Consultation to ensure you feel comfortable and confident about booking me to make your wedding cake.
A booking fee of £100 secures your wedding date in my diary. If your wedding is affected by Coronavirus and you choose to postpone your wedding, your booking fee will be moved over to your new wedding date, subject to availability
{online Consultation}
When the time comes to discuss your wedding cake in more detail and finalise any design ideas, we will arrange an online or telephone consultation. This can be a normal phone call, facetime or Zoom, whichever works best for you.

We can go through design ideas, styles, flavours and pricing and discuss any other questions you have.

After the call, I will send you a full quotation with all the details we discussed including design, tier sizes, flavours and delivery details. We can tweak anything then if needed and I can send over a final sketch of your cake.
{Cake Tasting}
If you haven't already had one, you will be sent via post, a cake sample box before your online consultation, so you still get to have your cake tasting experience, just in your own home. We can then discuss flavour ideas for your wedding cake!
Cake Boxes include 6 of my most popular flavours, with 2 portions of each so no need to share!
*If you would like to "try before you buy", cake sample boxes are available to buy before you order. They're £25 including P&P which is then refunded against your booking fee if you decide to order.
{Smaller Cakes and
postponements}
If your wedding is affected by any restrictions in numbers, but you still wish to go ahead with your wedding day, you can make changes to your order and size of your cake if needed. Any changes to the design and size of the cake can be made up until the balance due date, 28 days before the wedding.
Smaller wedding cakes can be just as beautiful and still as yummy! If you're stuck for ideas for a single tier or smaller cake I can come up with a design to incorporate aspects from your original larger cake design.
Once the balance has been paid we will double check any details and make sure everything is ready for your big day!
If you are considering postponing your wedding and have been given a back up date, please let me know in advance so I can check that I am available for the date. If I am, I can pencil this date on the calendar for you. If you sadly do need to postpone then your booking will be transferred over to your new date,*
