Last October the lovely Stephanie and Stephen had their wedding at the beautiful venue Pendrell Hall and I had the pleasure of making their wedding cake! Its no secret that this is one of my favourite venues so I was excited to do a blog about this wedding! Make sure you check out the suppliers list at the bottom- especially if you're planning your wedding!
We first met at Pendrell Halls Wedding Experience Evening in February, where they looked at my designs and had a few cake samples and decided to book me then! That's always the best feeling as you know the couple trusts you from the start to make their dream wedding cake. Stephanie had seen a previous design I had done (a popular pink and ruffle design) and that was her favourite. Other than making it bigger and a few colour changes it was "the one!"
An elegant 4 tier design with the ruffles on the bottom tier and a pink shimmer effect to tie in the colour of the stunning bridesmaid dresses which were from David's Bridal Birmingham. They chose a pearl detail on the middle tier and sugar roses and hydrangeas - a beautiful combination!
My favourite part of writing the real wedding blogs is getting to look through the photographs from the wedding day! As normal, I make the wedding cake and deliver it on the morning but of course I don't get to see the wedding and just sit and wait to hear from the couple if I haven't seen them on the morning. So getting to see the photos (especially of the cake!) is so exciting for me! Stephanie and Stephen had the amazing David Boyton Photography. I've added some of their stunning wedding photos below.
How stunning are Stephanie's dress and shoes! Her dress is Vera Wang which she had from David's Bridal Birmingham and of course the beautiful Jimmy Choo shoes!
I'm not gonna lie, my favourite photo was the one below (it might also be because I haven't stopped for lunch yet but..) how yummy do those donuts look! They were supplied by Simply Stunning Weddings.
